BBC Civilisations

BBC Civilisations

Last week, Nutopia, a documentary production company based in London, came to film in the Domburg area. Nutopia is making a nine part series for the BBC and PBS titled Civilisations.
Civilisations introduces the greatest works of art that mankind has produced from the Stone Age right up to the present day. World renowned art historian Professor Simon Schama will be presenting the final episode. In this concluding film of the series they will explore great artists of the 20th century and Piet Mondriaan will be one of their most significant artists. As the Domburg area was so incredibly influential on Mondriaan’s work they filmed on the beach and around the lighthouse of Westkapelle.
